T.I. and Young Jeezy joined forces a week ago onstage as part of the Jay-Z and Friends show . The two Atlanta trap stars are now connecting to hit more venues as part of the Georgia Power Tour.
Dates are being ironed out now, but T.I. said the duo will be performing at theaters and should be ready to roll out shortly after Thanksgiving with an eye on wrapping things up in mid-January. Houston's Paul Wall will be on some dates, according to his label.
"If you notice, back when I first got out of jail, I was telling people he was the next n---a," T.I. said of Jeezy. "I seen the similarities in the movements in comparison to what I'd done. I felt he had a style all his own — a certain quality that's hard to come by."
"When you listen to Young Jeezy you think about what's going on in Atlanta right now," Da Snowman said recently. "When you listen to T.I. you think about what's going on in Atlanta right now."
Jeezy is probably going to shoot the video for his next single, "My Hood," before he hits the road.
"There's so many singles, man," Jeezy said of his platinum debut, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101. "I had to sit down and tell [Def Jam] we have to shoot five videos for this album. Ain't no way around it. We'd be crazy to let anything go. They're going for 'My Hood.' Jay-Z hit me up, and said he likes 'My Hood.' I like 'Trap Star' myself. We was even thinking about doing 'Go Crazy.' You never know."
While Jeezy is promoting his current LP, T.I. is focusing on recording his next one, The King. Tip's label, Grand Hustle, is also going to put out the soundtrack to Cascade, the movie T.I. makes his acting debut in.
